We are proud to introduce Yoga Therapy with Yuliana Kim-Grant to our list of Therapeutic and Medical offerings.
What is Yoga therapy?
The goal of Yoga Therapy is to achieve improved health and well-being by applying the teachings and practices of Yoga and Meditation. Your session starts with an individualized assessment, and a written therapeutic treatment plan created just for you. Sessions are private, 1-on-1, non-denominational and meant as a complementary treatment to support your current health care treatments.
Yoga Therapy is different than regular yoga. A Yoga therapy teacher has undergone special training to work with healthcare-related issues and to apply the teachings of yoga in a therapeutic way. The standards for this education are set out by the governing body of Yoga Therapy, The International Association of Yoga Therapists.
Yoga therapy sessions with Yuliana can be booked online and are offered in 60 minutes and 90-minute sessions. You should book your consultation and fill out all of your health care information before coming in. To participate, you will need comfortable clothes you can move in.
Is Yoga Therapy for me?
Yoga Therapy does not have to be exercise, although it may include some. Sessions will be built to suit your age, fitness level, health history, and goals. This program is meant to be complementary to your current health care and we can definitely work with your medical team. This program may be appropriate for people who would not be suited for a group class. You should always check with your primary care before starting any program or if you have specialized concerns.
Examples of the types of things Yoga Therapy may assist with include but are not limited to:
- Pain
- Orthopedic issues and Range of motion
- Anxiety and Stress
- Hormonal Imbalances
- Osteoporosis
- Cardiac Conditions
- Fitness and Success coaching
- Cancer
- And More…
Consultations are done by phone or zoom session. The cost of the consultation is $15 and will be refunded once you book and attend your yoga therapy session.
